School of Law at Debark University
The School of Law at Debark University was established in 2012 E.C. with a commitment to providing high-quality legal education and services. Initially, the school began with just 3 instructors, but it has since grown significantly in both size and influence. Its establishment followed a comprehensive needs assessment conducted in collaboration with relevant bodies, ensuring that the school addressed the specific legal educational needs of the community.
The School of Law currently operates under a single department, the Department of Law, which has seen considerable growth. Today, the school boasts a dedicated team of 10 full-time faculty members who bring diverse expertise to the classroom and engage in various academic and professional activities.
With 117 regular undergraduate students and 48 extension students, the school offers a comprehensive legal education that meets the needs of both full-time students and working professionals looking to pursue law. The school’s programs are designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and ethical foundation necessary for a successful legal career.
The School of Law holds significant importance not only within the university but also within the broader community. By offering legal services to local communities, the school plays a key role in promoting justice, fairness, and access to legal resources. Through these services, the school contributes to societal well-being and ensures that legal assistance is available to those who need it most.
